CUSTOMERS

If you are placing an order in the name of a company, you must be legally authorised to place this order for the company.

PRICING & QUOTATIONS

Prices are subject to change without notice. Every effort will be made to notify customers of price changes in advance. Quotations will be honoured for up to 7 days after the quote date. Prices subject to customers supplying complete digital files. Failure to setup digital files correctly may result in additional charges.

TERMS OF SALE

All orders require payment IN FULL upon placing the order. Paper and Tie accept Cash, Visa, Mastercard and EFT. DINERS CLUB, AMERICAN EXPRESS cards and Cheques are NOT accepted. In the event of an EFT payment, no work shall commence until PoP (Proof of Payment) has been recieved and thereafter approval of artwork (if required). In the event of non-paymet that leads to dispute and/or litigation, the customer agrees to pay all legal and collection fees incurred by Paper and Tie.

All orders require payment IN FULL upon placing the order. Only once FULL payment and proofing has been completed will orders be processed. Paper and Tie is not liable for completed order print quality once proofing and approval has been completed.

Paper and Tie accepts the following payment methods:

  • Cash
  • Visa Card
  • Mastercard
  • EFT

Customers are to note that a MINIMUM of R50 is accepted for card payments. Orders LESS than R50 are to be payed with either Cash or via an EFT payment. Should a customer require an invoice to be made out to a company, management is to be notified in order for invoicing to be completed timeously for print order to commence.

VAT

All orders are subject to VAT, unless advised and otherwised specified by Paper and Tie.

PROOFING, COLOUR MATCHING & PRINT QUALITY

Customers are responsible for ensuring that Paper and Tie are staff notified and aware when close color matching between jobs is expected. Paper and Tie will reproduce colour from digital files as closely as possible, but may not exactly match colour and density due to limitations in the proofing and printing process, as well as neighbouring image ink requirements. A reasonable variation in colour between original materials, proofs and the completed order will be considered acceptable print quality. Customers must provide high resolution images suited to the offset printing process. Paper and Tie is not liable for images printing poorly due to the customer providing low resolution images. Customers must provide all full colour printing images in CMYK format. Paper and Tie is not responsible for any colour shift that occurs in conversions from RGB to CMYK colour modes. Full colour jobs that contain large areas of black ink should have the black set up as Rich Black (C:75 M:80 Y:80 K:100). Paper and Tie will not be responsible for printing a consistent, solid and rich black if the customer has not set up the files accordingly.

Please note that due to the proofing and printing process we cannot guarantee exact colour matching on final print orders. A reasonable variation in colour on final print order will be considered acceptable print quality. Customers are to ensure that Paper and Tie staff are notified and aware when exact colour matching is required. Paper and Tie is not liable for incorrect colour matching upon final proofing and approval.

Customers are to ensure that all images are of the highest resolution possible due to the printing process as we cannot guarantee image quality. Paper and Tie is not liable for images printing poorly due to low resolution images.

Customers are to ensure that all artwork is completed and print ready with regards to colours, spelling, design and imagery. Should a customer require any alterations to be done on artwork, a Graphic Design fee may incur depending on alterations required and at the discretion of management.

COMPLAINTS

All complaints must be made withing 5 business days of reciept of the job. Orders with manufacturing errors and/or defects will be rerun at no charge to the customer, at the discretion of Paper and Tie. Paper and Tie’s sole liability shall be limited to reprinting of the order. Unsatisfactory orders as a result of customer errors will be reprinted at standard rates.

ERRORS AND OMISSIONS

Paper and Tie is not responsible for errors and ommisions approved by the customer. The customer is solely responsible for errors missed during proofing process of either artwork supplied by the customer or artwork created by Paper and Tie.

INDEMNIFICATION

The customer will indemnify and hold harmless Paper and Tie from any loss, expense and damages arising out of violation of copyright or trademark laws from the illegal use of images, photographs, slogans, trademarks or graphical artwork supplied by the customer.

DELIVERY & SHIPPING

All posted turnaround times are approximate and although Paper and Tie will make every effore to meet these delivery times, Paper and Tie will not be liable for any costs or damages resulting from deliveries made later than expected to the customer. Delays or damage during shipping are the sole responsibilty of the carrier providing shipping expenses unless otherwise stated. Paper and Tie is not responsible for delays or damages caused during shipping.

OWNERSHIP OF DIGITAL FILES & ARTWORK

Paper and Tie will retain ownership of all digital files created on behalf of the customers by the Paper and Tie staff unless otherwise specified with management.

USB’S, EXTERNAL HARD DRIVES & MISCELLANEOUS

Customers are responsible for their own property and Paper and Tie may not be held liable for theft, damages or loss. Any USB or External Hard Drive that is not recovered from Paper and Tie will be discarded.
